These draw the viewer in but also impose a sense that something bad might occur. This suspenseful feeling the clip gives is finally set loose with the chaos. The action match and crosscutting helps with this, bringing the viewer into the action.          Only one important character is introduced in this opening scene, that being Robert Muldoon. From the scene the audience sees him as a no nonsense type of character, taking his job seriously.
